In 2001 a group of citizens in Elkhart County formed the Trillium Land Conservancy, Inc. to protect and preserve natural areas for future generations.
As this local land trust grows in funds and lands, it will be able to secure natural areas that can be preserved for present and future generations. In addition, it will protect land and water restources as well as flora and fauna.
Since its inception, TLC has gained interested members from nearby St. Joseph, LaGrange, Marshall and Kosciusko counties.
The Conservancy will allow Northern Indiana to have a balance of preserved and developed areas so that our quality of life will remain inganced while preserving some of the last remaining scenic, cultural and natural areas.
